Senior DevOps Engineer (80-100%, m/w)

As a senior DevOps Engineer you will push the automation and support the DevOps teams in defining and implementing the standardpipelines.

Your new challenge

The position to be filled extends beyond the usual DevOps role in a development team: indeed, we are looking for someone with proven experience and skills as a DevOps expert to coach across our agile development teams in the use of the new CaaS platform to ensure its effective adoption. This ranges from aspects like the use of our Gitlab-based build pipelines including source code and security scanners up to the highly automated deployment to our Kubernetes clusters. In this role you will support the DevOps teams in defining and implementing the standards by which the teams will push ahead the automation of our development and deployment pipelines. As the topic leader you will also serve as a connecting link between our application centric DevOps teams and our infrastructure operations team.

What you bring along

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in containerization and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes preferred) and virtualization
  • Proficient in continuous integration tools and processes (GitLab)
  • Strong knowledge in configuration and deployment management tools (Ansible)
  • Experienced in automated source code scanner and testing tools (SonaType, Selenium)
  • Strong Unix/Linux administration experience including installation and configuration
  • Strong security knowhow (container security, network security, system hardening)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Software development skills are a plus
  • Team player with drive to continuously improve
  • Excellent analytical capabilities
  • Good communication and social skills
  • Very good English skills (written and spoken), German is a plus
